“I live in a favela” are some images of the people who live in the “Novo Perimetral” favela on the outskirts of Fortaleza in the northern part of Brazil, this place used to be one of the waste-yards of the city and today is inhabited by near 3000 people. (Some of these pictures are a part of an article that’ll be published in Børnefonden’s magazine later this year)

Goodbye Mustafa

Protesting against the gang war that has been going on in the Danish capital Copenhagen in the last days, the family of an innocent victim, Mustafa Hsownay, carried him today through Noerrebro (the Copenhagen’s “hot” district).
The family wanted the procession to serve as a demonstration against the violence in the town during the past several months. Thousands of Danes joined the procession through the streets, which took place peacefully.

Big fire on the mountains I spotted when driving south through Esquel, it lasted for three days and it took three holds of 12 people working hard for 72 hours to kill it. An enormous piece of work from all these brave folks (that are all voluntary).
